Expo Nazionale di Biella - Trofeo Challenge Franca Simondetti

After the Club show the day before we travelled to north Italy in order to join our friends in Biella. On sunday 8th February there was a national dog show with special prizes for Cockers in order to honour the memory of Franca Simondetti who was one of the cocker spaniel breeding stones in Italy.

The show was judged by Miss Sandy Platt, a real authority in the world and in the history of English Cocker Spaniel, with her well-known affix "Charbonnel Cockers". Her precious work has been fundamental for breeding Champions such as Charbonnel Warlord and for the shaping of the "type": short, squared and merry!

For us it was a big occasion to show her our babies and to have a professional judgment on them. In addiction to this we offered a prize in honour of our beloved Hermione to the best particolour young female, won by our friend Gaetano Filocamo and his Zara from Calabria (all. Calabria Cocker).

Our Noel (Costopa's Here Comes The Sun) in his last show in young class is unbeaten again with his 1°ECC. Little Neve (Heartbroken Innocent Star) achieved a 2° place with Very Good.

"Red dog with good rib, bone and quarters. A little long in loin, good angulations and good feet. I would like a better, softer expression. Moved well, needs more coat off front legs."

"Dark blue bitch with sweet head and happy temperament. She is rather long in body, and having no coat makes this more obvious. Moved soundly and happily"

Here is Miss Sandy Platt who is awarding Mr. Gaetano Filocamo and his Zara from Calabria who has won the prize as the best particolour young bitch at the show.
